Types of video editing styles

Most short videos use one of eight styles: fast talking head, soft talking head, explainer, name drop, product pop-up, UGC ad, podcast clip and call clip. Longer videos lean on documentary, cinematic story, editorial explainer or a plain clean cut. Each is a different mix of the five parts: pace, captions, graphics, sound and colour.
